Agents can now send and receive referrals electronically through Sotheby’s new global referral platform. Referrals fly around the Sotheby’s network every day. Sometimes, agents connect directly with agents in other cities. Other times, they seek a referral connection by reaching out to Jay Lanigan, Sotheby’s director of referrals. That process is now handled on a digital platform. No more paper referral forms. The global platform provides translation in 18 languages, so agents can easily connect a client with the right agent around the globe.
